Greetings, I am Toyota Kakelabo, a blueberry picking farm.

Updated: May 9, 2023

Hello, I am Saito, owner of Blueberry Picking Farm Toyota Kakelabo, and I will open a blueberry picking tourist farm in Kobata-cho, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture in June 2024.

The blueberry season is midsummer, from June to August. Unlike strawberry picking, which is in season during the cold season, this picking farm is done under the blazing sun in midsummer.

At that time of year, Nagoya experiences extremely hot days with temperatures exceeding 30°C (86°F) every day, and blueberry picking is usually enjoyed in such intense heat.

Picking blueberries under the scorching sun with small children or elderly parents can be a real challenge. Even the most delicious blueberries cannot be enjoyed if it is too hot.

But fresh-caught blueberries with a sugar content of 16 degrees are really delicious. They are completely different from imported or frozen products. We want to create a farm where you can feel good and really enjoy those superb blueberries.

With this in mind, we decided to establish a farm in Kobata-cho, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, which is located at an altitude of 500 meters (1650 ft). It takes about 50 minutes by car from the Nagoya IC. But you will be glad you came even if it takes 50 minutes to get there! You will be glad you made the 50-minute drive.

At an altitude of 500 meters (1650 ft) above Nagoya, where the temperature is minus 4 degrees Celsius, this is a summer resort in the middle of summer! At our day trip resort from Nagoya (blueberry picking farm Toyota Kakelabo), you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the finest blueberries in a comfortable environment full of nature for an unlimited amount of time. Please come and check it out for yourself.

The name of the garden, "Kakelabo," was chosen because we want visitors to enjoy fresh and tasty blueberry picking, and also because we want to strengthen the bonds of families, friends, and couples who visit the garden. The name "Kakelabo" also expresses our wish to strengthen the bonds of families, friends, and couples who visit the garden, and our policy to continue researching collaborations to build bridges between people, companies, brands, and various other things to make all people involved even happier than before. Our policy is to continue researching collaborations that will make everyone involved happier than ever.
